Year 6 School Journey 2019
Monday 25th March to Friday 29th March 2019
We have moved the photographs to a Gallery page, so that we can fit more on! Please view the gallery by clicking here.
We are all having an amazing time. We are kept busy throughout the day and well into the evening too with all of the fun and adventurous activities! After a delicious and plentiful dinner, we take part in an evening activity before returning to base for a hot chocolate and a story before bedtime.
And we're off! Thank you to everyone for getting the children to school on time for our early departure.
We had a safe crossing on the Red Funnel Ferry from Southampton to Cowes, Isle of Wight.
We arrived at the centre in time for a delicious hot lunch of jacket potato with a variety of fillings. We barely had time to settle into our rooms before starting our first group activities of bridge building.
We started the day with a briefing about the activities for the day ahead, which started with a hike along the Tennyson Trail; a fantastic sunny walk with some amazing views.
Another fun filled day of bush craft, building the Towers of Hanoi, Archery, Shooting Rifles and building bottle rockets!
We have been exploring the sea shore and discovering what creatures live in the rock pools. It's a great place to be on yet another sunny day!
Year 6 have arrived home after an exciting week away.
