November 2023 - Email from member of public RE: Behaviour on School Trip

I am on the train to work with a class from the school on their way to the National Gallery.
I just wanted to say how nice it was to share the carriage with such smiley, happy, well-behaved youngsters.
A lovely way to start the day!

September 2023 - Quotes from New to Hawksmoor Parents

“I was really anxious about my son starting reception due to the challenges I had faced with his settling into his previous nursery, however I need not have worried. Hawksmoor went above and beyond to help in every way that they could and I’m blown away by how happy my son is. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming”
Thank you

My children transferred here in year 1 and year 3. Hawksmoor have been so welcoming and have really made myself and children feel settled in quickly. The teachers and Head Master have established a really good form of communication with myself and I could not fault them on the whole transition of changing school. Absolutely brilliant.
Thankyou so much.

“ My son started reception at Hawksmoor this year & honestly it has been the easiest transition from nursery to school possible. The teachers have all been lovely & friendly. The head teacher Mr Thompson is always at the gate to say good morning & answer any questions you might have. My child has come home happy everyday & it has really put my mind at ease. Its a fantastic school”

I have 2 children at Hawksmoor, Year 3 and Reception. My youngest child has additional needs, within a few days of being at Hawksmoor it had been recognised & he had a speech and language assessment in school.
All staff are friendly yet professional. The children's wellbeing, education, happiness is what matters most and this shines through.
The school believes in a good parent school relationship working together to help their child reach their full potential.
My eldest child who wasn't born in London, has been to a few schools. Hawksmoor is by far the best.

February 2023

‘My recent visit to Hawksmoor really made my day: a group of Year 6 children approached me in the playground and engaged me in a conversation in a confident and polite manner. I was positively surprised by their willingness to initiate such a delightful conversation with a visitor. The child I was scheduled in to see expressed her happiness to talk to me and share her positive views of the school – this was despite her significant social  communication difficulties. I even got a hug from her when I left!I also observed a member of staff giving  a warm but firm talk to one of the classes, reflecting on the school values of kindness, respect and honesty. The children clearly  listened and reflected – it really touched my heart.Thank you for a wonderful morning at Hawksmoor – visits like this is one of the reasons why I love my job!’

Working with the children and staff at Hawksmoor School has been such a gift. They are incredible learners, eager and able, and with an infectious passion for all things music.

I have loved my time with them working on their Young Voices music and developing their singing abilities. With the staff at Hawksmoor being as supportive as they are, these children are in great hands and are set to become superstars in whatever field they choose.

I look forward to working with them again in the future.
